Atmos x Nike Air Max 1 "Elephant" x Creaseless Studio

Painting by YokozunaArtDept.

Run Size: Max 10, with a 1/1 Silver Border Edition

Available: Now

Price: $249

The Shoe:

Originally released in 2007 as part of the "Zoo Pack," this collaboration marked a seismic shift in how storytelling was applied to performance running heritage. Born from the creative mind of Atmos founder Hommyo Hidefumi, the design drew its unique DNA from the sight of an elephant bathing in the wild, translating that raw imagery into a sophisticated palette of black, white, and "Clear Jade." By introducing the high-contrast elephant print—a texture previously synonymous with the Air Jordan 3—to the sleek lines of the Air Max 1, Atmos created a cross-pollination of styles that felt both avant-garde and deeply rooted in Nike history. Now regarded as one of the most coveted releases of the 2000s, it stands as the blueprint for the modern "grail," proving that a thoughtful blend of animal motifs and vibrant accents could capture the world's imagination.

The Painting:

The piece reconstructs the landmark sneaker through 18 distinct, hand-painted layers of aerosol on 1/2-inch-thick wood. The piece’s background features a courtesan riding an elephant, inspired by Japanese woodblock paintings.

This artwork is limited to a run of just 10 hand-painted pieces, with a 1/1 Silver Border Edition offered at random to one buyer. All paintings are signed, stamped and numbered by the artist, YokozunaArtDept.

Technical:

Dimensions: 12” x 12” x 0.5”

Construction: Aerosol on wood, ready to hang

Origin: Los Angeles, California, 2026

Certificate of Scarcity: Each order comes with a signed certificate attesting to the limited nature of the release. White Border Edition is a true 1/1. After all 10 paintings are sold, the same sneaker/colorway/background combination will never again be offered as a painting by Creaseless Studio.
