Jeff Staple x Dunk Low Pro SB x Creaseless Studio ("Pigeon")
Painting by YokozunaArtDept.
Run Size: Max 10, with a 1/1 Gold Band Edition
Available: Now
Price: $249
The Shoe:
Released in 2005, this infamous drop caused a near-riot that arguably birthed modern sneaker hype. The design features a two-tone grey nubuck upper, mimicking the city’s birds, accented by a vibrant orange outsole and the iconic embroidered pigeon on the heel. Limited to just 150 pairs, these now command over $30,000, representing the ultimate collector’s trophy. A gritty grail that immortalizes the hustle and chaos of New York City.
The Painting:
The piece reconstructs the legendary shoe through 19 distinct, hand-painted layers of aerosol on 1/2-inch-thick wood. The piece’s background is inspired by a traditional Japanese woodblock painting of Asashio Tarō, a sumo wrestler during the late 1800s/early 1900s. Asashio’s traditional kesho-mawashi in the image depicts a pair of sparrows, keeping with the avian theme of the shoe.
Mirroring the extreme scarcity of the original release, this artwork is limited to a run of just 10 hand-painted pieces, with a 1/1 Gold Border Edition offered at random to one buyer. All paintings are signed and numbered by the artist, YokozunaArtDept.
Technical:
Dimensions: 12” x 12” x 0.5”
Construction: Aerosol on wood, ready to hang
Origin: Los Angeles, California, 2025
Certificate of Scarcity: Each order comes with a signed certificate attesting to the limited nature of the release. Gold Border Editions are true 1/1. After all 10 paintings are sold, the same sneaker/colorway/background combination will never again be offered as a painting by Creaseless Studio.
